Study plan for Competitive Programming

I've postponed my plans of trying Competitive programming for almost half a year now. It sounds like a fun activity and several people say it is very easy to start if you have a strong mathematical background so I'm looking forward to it. I will study the book Competitive Programming 3 for two hours a day or participate in the codeforces round if there is one that day.

My handle is UpHeap and I haven't done any contests yet. My ranking is probably in the interval 1500-1600 from practice contests and I aspire to reach Candidate Master (i.e 1900) in three months.

Go is starting to grow on me, there's a bit of a mystical element to it and I'm always fascinated by the skilled players being able to live in the smallest spaces and kill me everywhere. I will use this blog to record my study plans and progress in several activities to see how far I can go and hopefully to learn how to use my time a little bit better during the next three months. As of right now I'll just be focusing on go and competitive programming. I'll try to add at least one more interesting activity before next week.
